Hi everyone.
I have had my 2014 Vauxhall Combo van for about seven years now and it's been pretty much faultless in that time. Done no more than carry out routine maintenance on it and change the drop links when I started to hear a banging noise from underneath the van..
A few weeks back the engine light started to glow and a work college said it was to do with the egr valve, he had one of those testers that shows the error codes. I checked some utube videos but so far I haven't been able to locate the egr valve and the map sensor so that I can take them out and give each one a clean.
What I am hoping for is that one of the good folks here can point me in the right direction for the egr valve and map sensor, with a picture or diagram showing the location would be very cool.
Now, the current situation is, the light has gone out at the present time. I added some additive to the diesel fuel and have been driving the van harder over the last couple of weeks, so this may be the reason for the light going out, but this is just a guess on my part.
The van is a 2014 Combo 1600 cdti s/s sport, why they called it a sport I will never know.
The van has done about 70,000 miles and is driving mostly in the local area and not at very high speeds.
Just in case it helps the van model, according to the log book is, Combo 2300 L2H1 CDTI S/S SPORT.
Thanks for any help with this.
