I have now managed to have the car think the roof is closed correctly, but still the roof doesn't work. when the parcel shelf goes up and the flaps come out those flaps are loose as I remember having to force them in due to lack of tools and it starting to rain. What damage am I likely to have done there? Am not actually going to look at the car for a while now as I don't have the time but to have the knowledge to hand when I do would be great.

This is what you need, there are loads on ebay so this will give you an idea of what you need and where it fits, theres also a rod that may need replacing as well,... For Vauxhall Astra TwinTop Parcel Shelf Roof Winglet Flap Motor Repair Gear Fix 747180984583 | eBay

I see thank you, in your opinion could this be the problem I am now having with the car where I have gone over a few bumps i.e. potholes and stuff and the bong has come back also the boot is temperamental again.

Loads of helpful Twin Top videos on YouTube.

If hitting a pothole sets the audible warning off then its either a broken wire somewhere thats hanging on by a thread or the roofs not locking into position correctly, again this could be down to a damaged wire, i would check the loom where it runs out of the roof and down through the roof hinge, it means the roof will need to be open/closed half way to access, its awkward but this is where you will normally find damaged wires if everything else checks out.

I'm almost done with this car!!😤 I have replaced the wiring from the rear to the front along the top of the passenger side roof and all seemed fine until the parcel shelf wanted to put its flaps out. I did expect this but needed to confirm it. so away the roof goes manually again but now I have a new couple of codes that I can't get rid of. would love to know any ideas on these please.

The power output in the front fuse had blown and has been changed, everything I have read suggests it should be a fuse but all the fuses the web suggests are fine. I'm baffled

This is a list of the things that are now not working, all working 2 days ago, the lights on the headlight switch are not working although the headlights are.
no cruise control, the heated seats only have on or off no three settings as normal,
No fog lights front and rear and the last thing I've noticed is that the sport button doesn't work now
