The warning sounds from the roof will return once its working as will the windows etc, you really need to use the cars own power to power the relay, i mean you could rig another battery up but its a bit of a faff,...

Here is a .CSV file of the data for your roof showing all the correct sensor settings when the roof is working correctly and is closed, you can view the file using a .CSV file viewer, plenty on the internet,...

The picture shows the relays, the relay on the right has the two main wires that power the pump, the White wire powers it closed and the Black wire to the left of the White wire powers it open, you wont be able to power it open though so dont try it, just put some power to the black wire and let the pump run for a second or two to close/reset the roof.

Can you also post the other page of roof data.
Hello andyl,
I want apply your soluce on my Twintop but could you explain me how to power only the black cable ? by the +12v from battery ?

Thank for your help

I used a Power Probe to power the roof,.Powering the Black cable caused the probe to trip out, these draw a lot of power when opening so i couldnt power it open, whats wrong with yours, is it stuck closed or stuck open.

sorry for the delay and thank you for the answer .. I'am french guy .. my roof is stuck closed and no action when i want to open it . No sound too i checked with opcom and the frame constact status is in status inactive until yours is in status active . Do you know where is this switch?

The frame contact switch is in the boot, on the right, can you open the boot with Opcom and power the roof closed via the relay, White wire., i know its closed but it may need that extra bit of tension on it to put the switch Inactive.

If you have a power probe you can power the pump from the yellow relays, if you trace the two big wires from the pump back to the yellow relays you will see one relay has both wires going to it, one wire opens the roof and the other closes it (its just the way the Pump runs), you can pull the relay out and using a power probe give one of the wires battery voltage, this will activate the pump, it will either run the pump momentarily and allow the locks to engage or do noting because you powered the open wire, if you do that just power the other wire, it will run and lock the roof, this should then allow the boot and roof to work from there respective switches, you may need to cycle the ignition.
Hi am new here but firstly thanks for this whole thread. I have had this problem for at least a year now and have just been using my other vehicle.
Having looked through the live data the only thing that is reading incorrectly is the "front latch contact switch" so I need to perform this with a power probe which I don't have but have ordered.
The other problem I have is that I cant figure out how to open the boot with opcom , Is there any chance you can screen shot which bit that is in on opcom for me please?
My issue was the loom on the hinge which I have repaired but still cant open the boot as you explained the pump needs powering.

Having been able to figure out how to read the live data andyl posted I have now realised the frame contact switch is reading inactive and the luggage protection status is also reading inactive.

Take a picture of where your putting the probe and post it here, you do need to press the button on the probe to power the wire if your probing the correct one.
When I touch the white wire connection with the probe the green light illuminates, when I press the probe button the light flickers red for a millisecond then turns green with the buzzer sounding.

Its probably closed fully so there is no movement in the pump or roof frame so its tripping the probe out, You need to address the frame contact switch status before the roof will operate, the wires for this switch run down the passenger side of the roof and into the boot, not the easiest to access, i would remove the front section of roof lining and see if you can ridge the plug for the frame switch so you can get the roof open enough to aid repair.

Managed to finish early today so thought I'd have a look. I'm deffo a noob when it comes to auto electrics so would you mind explaining what ridge the plug for the frame switch means please. I have also done a continuity test for the wires along the passenger side roof and they seem fine.

I should have got that really! 🙈
Managed to bridge the front relays on my break and when I bridge then unbridge them and try to open the roof the windows drop the couple of inches but that's it. If I try to close the roof first I get nothing.
