On all of the pictures I have seen the left earth cable attaches to the top left hand side of ecu (as shown in this picture) maybe I disconnected it
when looking at the egr valve?

 

Or perhaps the earth is for the map sensor.

I sent you a message Zdravo saying that I read through your astra ru removal guide. The google translation is not perfect, however at one point you mentioned using sealant. Should I have used sealant at any point when dismantling manifold or reassembly for example?

That one dont go anywhere on petrol cars.

Is everything plugged in, check the coil pack plug.

 

Check fuel line, blue pipe with part green connector.
Check all the injectors, I accidentaly unplugged one by miskate when was doing the same on my car. And of course chwck coil pack, its on battery side, big connector, must click

On the other side, there is some vacuum device it works with two narrow plastic pipes you mentioned before

If you have a garage, so if the car is inside.
Take + and - from battery, so the ECU will forget all the errors it has. Reconnect them in the morning and try to start the engine. Actually it needs 15-20 minutes.

I'm hoping the lambda sensor is just flagging up because of the twinport actuator, the o2 sensor has never shown up as an issue before.

yes, send @Koicarpkeeper a message, he will be able to sort you out with one, guaranteed to work with your car.

 

Try a bit of easy start, brake cleaner or anything flammable in the intake to see if it tries to fire. Least you will know if it's fuel related.
