Does it work off one switch and not the other? If it does then I’d say the motor or wiring

 

Ian - HI and thanks for the reply. Visiting over here in FR & it's becoming a nightmare on the toll roads. No, it does not work off either the drivers control nor the switch for the passenger. Regards Bernie

 

If it's not working off either switch, it could be the motor, but it might be as simple as a broken wire in the rubber sleeve between the door and body pillar.

Definitely agree with Alan on this one, if it was a simple switch issue your master switch should work for it.

 

Paul and also Alan - I've checked the section of wiring from the car leading inside the door frame and there is no apparent spllit in the outer covering but given the weather today it was not possible to peel back the cover and inspect the internal wires. Thanks to both of you Bernie
