Probably got anti syphon, can be a little tricky as i had to wiggle around the end of the tube for ages before i could get a syphon going on my grandads landrover (he put petrol in his diesel).

 

the tube i've used does come out with a bit of petrol on it but nothing else. got a banging headache now and still have wash the puke off the drive, lol

 

Get a long tube about five feet or so,poke the end into the tank and BLOW down it, the noise of petrol bubbling will tell you when the end is in the petrol.
Then stand up so the tube is well above the petrol tank and carefully suck the petrol up. When it fills the tube up to your mouth stick your finger over the end and put the tube into a receiving can,which must be lower than the petrol in the car tank.
The weight of the petrol in the tube will start the syphon action.
The best diameter tube is about 1cm,garden hose is too large and requires too much sucking. Rubber gas tubing is best if you can get it.Jerry

 

For a few quid you can get a tube with a metal end with a ball bearing in. Stick one end in tank, shake the other end (ball bearing end) and it starts the siphoning for you.
Think I've seen them in B&Q or Halfords.

 

it's not that i can't syphon, i think there is an anti syphon filter in it as a can't get anything now.

 

Disconnect the feed pipe under the bonnet somewhere connect it to the receptacle can and use the fuel pump to pump it out.Jerry

 

Car is scrap and never going to drive again ?

Remove the tank , support it with wood and jacks and drop the tank .

 

the cars not scrap, just needs a new front wing bumper and arch cover.
i'm going to try and get the fuel out the feed pipe.

 

aparently there is a way to get into the tank through the fuel sensor, not sure if this is correct i read it somewhere once. Aparently it is located under the carpet in the boot there is some sort of access panel to the fuel sensor then all you have to do is unscrew it and you can stick a tube in there...

 

Don't be tight just leave it there & go buy some!

 

In the corsa of my mates we drained.... and a vectra and a cavalier under the back seat there is the access panel for the pump and float.
You can pump it out from there.

 

if car only needs a new front wing, bumper n tht, get it fixed, whole lot will cost not much,defo cheaper than a new car, use sum internet resources n shop about a bit
