Hi, could someone please give me a clue where to find the ODB socket for plugging in a Diagnostic Scanner. I've got one coming from ebay soon and need to clear an engine fault to take out of limp mode for my wife who is desperate for the van to at least work enough before this Wed.

many thanks all

Not in the steering wheel - diagnostic socket is behind the small panel directly below the steering column.

dope! obvious now i've found it.... just to update on progress, the scanner is an op-com dongle that uses software on the PC. so far i've managed to get the dongle to read basic info about the ECU, but nothing of any use yet, such as error codes etc, so not a lot of use so far, i've emailed the seller for some help, so watch this space.

cheers.

There is a demonstration video here for VAUX-COM which is basically the same as OP-COM I suggest you view it.

What version software came with your Op-Com?
Hi, its v7, think its 70209, have tried to upgrade to v8, but it requires later firmware, 1.18, mine had 1.12, and no mater what i try can't get it to upgrade the firmware, so going to try a few things out and will report back. will take a look at the vid if i can find it.

cheers

found the video on the ilexia website, and can see that i'm getting so far, reading the main ecu info, but the boxes on the right are all greyed out so can't sellect fault codes or anything, so me thinks it maybe a software problem....
