Hi guys, I have a petrol leak which seems to be coming from under the car around the middle. As far as I can remember the fuel pipes are blue plastic and there are 2 of them. Will not know to later what the problem is when I take the car over the pit but have a suspicion I have caught a branch under the car and put a hole in the blue plastic fuel pipe. What I want to know are these easy repaired and if so how or do I have to replace the complete length of fuel pipe and where would I get one.

Thanks for your time guys

Darren

Hi, thanks for your reply. It's an VAUXHALL ASTRA HATCHBACK 2003 1.6i Club 5dr Petrol. Its leaving a patch of petrol on the ground right in the centre of the car thats what makes me think its the fuel pipe although I suppose it could be leaking somewhere else and running down.

The filters just in front of the rear nearside tyre. the fuel pipes are usually up out the way so they cant be accidently caught - but you never know!!!

Yesterday we had a lot of wind and due to living up a lane had lots of small branches on the lane. Just happens to be I get a fuel leak on the same evening, so this makes me think a branch has hit something under the car causing the leak.

axel stand it all 4 corners run it and look for the leak, a garage 4 post ramp would serve better, with the engine under load the leak will soon show its self
