Engine Oil Pressure Too Low warning

Hi I am new to the forum and concerned that my vehicle (2018 crosssland x 1.2 130 HP petrol manual) is going to suffer from the same issue of premature cambelt wear .
Is there a common cause across these engines creating the problem I.e. type of use ( short / long journeys ,annual oil changes ,just the turbo models affected etc)
It appears from the Citroen and Peugeot forums the belt type has been amended some time ago but nobody seeems to know when although it appears the advised life time of the belt has been shortened.
A website eu- recalls.co.uk ( I am unaware of it’s provenance) shows the 2008 Peugeot(crossland x in disguise) built between 170613 and 010417 was recalled in January 2021 over issues around the timing belt breaking up .
WHY ARE VAUXHALL NOT RECALLING THE CROSSLAND X AND GRANDLAND X FOR CHECKS AS THIS ISSUE CAN APPARENTLY AFFECT BRAKING PERFORMANCE
IS IT TIME FOR BBC WATCHDOG TO GET INVOLVED
any help would be appreciated
I do like the car otherwise

You are right the oil pressure being low doesn’t affect the brakes the issue is the timing belt breaking up and producing fibres which block the sump oil strainer ( hence low oil pressure ) however in some cases apparently the same fibres are small enough to
damage the vacuum pump and brake booster which apparently causes a harder brake pedal hence braking issues .
This is outlined on car-recalls .eu article dated 231120

Thank you for your reply and info re databases
Regarding your contact with Vauxhall’s service and apparently lack of action over your e mail have you actually spoke to them I read on another forum some time ago that somebody had telephoned them and had been informed the dept was being closed and merged with a Peugeot/Citroen call centre in the near future as all the companies are owned by the same group ( I don’t know how true the closure tale is true but it appeared to be happening this year )
I would like to think that any emails sent to old addresses would automatically forward on but you never know , I would imagine a telephone call and mention of lack of action and databases might get you some action.
Good luck

Wow indeed what terrible customer service .
Surely if a garage and a customer raise the same issue for the same vehicle they should immediately be linked hopefully by software and raise a RED FLAG and be moved up to a manager for further action .
Byri.net ( I can’t vouch for the provenance) has a long article on this very subject ( apologies I don’t know who to set up a direct link ) well worth a read .
Appears Peugeot/ Citroen new about the issue in 2017 .

Morning
As this Cambelt issue appears to be possibly related to the date of manufacture of the engine : vehicle can anybody tell me where to find the date of manufacture of a crossland or grand land I.e is it on the car somewhere ( I know date of registration is on reg doc )
Also does anybody know if the 1.2 turbo engines for the Peugeot/Citroen/Vauxhall models are all made in the same factory or do different factories serve different manufacturers

Can I thank you for your efforts regarding this issue and hope you get sorted soon
Moderators could Phil x efforts please be noted and rewarded
Can I suggest people with access to other forums spread the word

Afternoon everyone
I just wondered if anybody has had their grand land or crossland recalled yet due to the Cambelt issue
Other posts have indicated a recall was being arranged in February but nothing appears to be happening and time appears to be marching on
On a recent visit to the main dealers when I asked they claimed to have no knowledge of any recalls
