Hi all, can anyone tell where the hell I can get an earth strap for a Nissan primastar/vivaro/traffic that goes from the chassis to gearbox other than a main dealer that charges a bomb? Tried online parts dealers and can't find any, eBay doesn't seem to help either. I can find generic earth straps but the one fitted is wider compared to ones online? Does this make a difference??
Basically the fault I'm getting is that very occasionally I turn the ignition on which is fine then turn the key but nothing happens and it won't start. I then have to turn it all off and on again a few times and all of a sudden it fires up so assuming it's an earth problem as looking at the cable it's starting to fray and fall apart.
