Draining Corsa radiator etc

I have a 1.4 Corsa B automatic (S reg) and recently I've noticed the temperature has been going up more than usual, so I've decided to have a crack at replacing the coolant mixture. Annoyingly, I can't find the bottom radiator hose that the oily hand of Haynes mentions, only two large hoses going into the top of the radiator at either end, and the thermostat switch at the bottom left (from looking into the engine bay) as well as the auto transmission cooling hoses (I assume). Anyone got any ideas as to my next course of action? Should I drain the radiator at the thermostat switch?

The terms "top" and "bottom" hoses goes back to earlier days when radiators flowed top to bottom - for a long time now they've gone side to side!

The hose going from the top of the engine to the radiator is the "top" hose, the other "bottom" hose should go across the gearbox.
