Hi,

New to this site, sorry if this is in the wrong place! :)

Looking for some help...

For a few days now my car has been feeling quite jumpy. While driving this evening my car began to feel quite sluggish and completely cut out, once i got it running again this amber light came on (car with spanner in middle) it would not go over 3mph! It eventually cut out again just as I got it parked. I called the RAC who came out and said there was no fault found... It eventually sorted itself and drove fine. I left the car for an hour and when I went back to it, it did the exact same thing again?

It's not due a service. It's a 2011 1.2 Corsa with 22000 miles on the clock. I have only had it for 6 months & have never had an issue with it before. 1.2i 16V [85] SXi

Thanks in advance :)

There will be a fault code, but it usually means the RAC uses equipment that cannot read it! Sorry to say but you have little choice but to take it to a competent garage who has the diagnostic equipment that will read the car.

Thanks! (y)

Will get it booked into Vauxhall 2moro - my local dealer have been a hassle since I first bought the car so hopefully it's not too bad an experience :ROFLMAO:

when I had that trouble it was the crankshaft sensor that needed replaced but whatever it turns out to be would you be kind enough to post it on here as it might help someone else, Many times people on forums ask for help but never let us know the outcome which I think is a bit selfish so we look forward to your hearing your outcome .Thanks Brian

You know, some garages don't deserve to be in business, that is just total flim flam. Laura you could, if you don't trust the dealer or any garage for that matter, ask if someone local will plug your car in for you. There are a load of members on this forum who have their own opcom, vauxcom, launch or delphi diagnostic systems, that would only be too happy to help. And usually for the price of a cup of tea!

Aw thanks! Didn't even think about that :) I'm beginning to regret buying the car from the local dealer - the car itself I love but the customer service is shocking! When I first went in to buy it I was with my dad and they couldn't have been more helpful but any other time I've been there I've been alone and almost get the feeling that it's the old 'she's a girls she won't know' attitude - which is very much true but it's a pest when trying to get things done! :ROFLMAO:

I have a friend who is going to come and look at it 2moro and if he can't help I will send out an sos on here!

Thanks again for the replies, I really appreciate it! :)
