Astra cutting out when idle

can anyone help....

I’ve recently started getting an issue with my 1.6 2007 Astra.

I pulled up to some lights last week and as I slowed down / stopped once the revs came to idle they dipped like the car stalled , cut out and lost all power.

I turned and removed the key and then put it back in and started the car, which was fine and then drove off, all ok!

Then about a week later (today) it’s happened again, but this time once I continued the journey the next time I stopped it did it again then a further 3 times before arriving at my destination. Leaving the car for 2 hours then I made another journey of about 20 mins no problem. Then driving to a friends just now it’s “cut out” 3 more times. He has a code reader which is coming back with: c1525 engine running signal no signal (d+).

Looking on line I’m not really getting a definitive answer and it could be numerous things, some power steering, ECU, different sensors.......so if anyone can shed any light or has some experience with this kind of issue / had the issue and fixed it that would be appreciated.....

Just confused too about why no engine management light or any other warning lights have appeared...

The car was serviced about 6 weeks ago just to add that which included oil change, spark plugs, new coil pack.

Cheers

Had engine management light come on before I had chance to fix - pedal test came back with 0300 .... so looking on here changed the lambda as well as crankshaft.... couple of laps around the block seems to be all good....

Will see tomorrow when it’s the commute and a proper drive

Sorry I’ve just checked the code again as I thought why had I changed the other sensor... the code is 0030 which I was under the impression was that sensor... sorry
I'm confused,o_O best to clarify if the code is 0300 or 0030

P0300 is multiple cylinder misfire and usually points at the coil pack being at fault.
Sometimes they break down with age and the heat with being placed at the top centre of the engine ( heat rises and more prone on the bigger engines)
See how it goes with the crank shaft sensor.
Why did you change the o2 sensor?

No it’s been since then... the management light with that code has only shown since yesterday though so you think worth investigating the coil pack and replacing that now the sensor has been changed?

Thank you!

Yes sorry! :)

Right so I’ve just done the pedal test again as of now.... it’s coming back with:

0300
0301
0302
0303
0304
0314

Looking like the coil pack then? Would that reflect the symptoms previously mentioned, cutting out in idle even after driving a few miles etc

P0314 is code that stands out ( non specific cylinder miss fire detected )
Usually a sign of a lean mixture due to a manifold air leak or an EGR fault etc.
I think some more investigation is needed before replacing any more parts .

The car was cutting out straight away so couldn’t get that far.... A friend has said to check the EGR valve, connections and give it a tap, sounds strange to me... but it has seemed to work as it started ok then and I’ve just drove it 5 miles without any issues....

So would this need replacing / cleaning properly... I’ve seen a few things on here with different solutions so what’s the best if you guys have experience?

Alright guys... unfortunately I'm back with I think the same issue if anyone can help :)

So after changing the EGR valve and driving for approx. 1400 miles the engine light has come back on (im only posting here as I think it might be connected).

Using a mobile code reader its giving me the code P0171. It drove ok then it died as I slowed down this morning after driving a few miles. IT started back ok and allowed me to get to my destination.

I'm completely bamboozled now..... Long shot but if anyone can help... im hearing apart from things that I have already done would be maybe a carbon clean or check/clean/change mass air flow sensor but I'm clutching a bit now....
