Ok, my veccy is hard to start. glow plugs come on, then it crank and crank and crank till it fires. i had the glowies replaced in november and No1 is stuck in the hole :eh wont undo!! i had my local garage do the job and they said its not worth trying to take it out till i have to have the head off, and its been fine all winter starting reasonably ok with no major issues.

well like said above its now crank crank crank for a minute+ before it fires :shake

anyhow, i was thinking....... i know the vac pipes to the turbo ETC are getting shagged, im suffering from a power loss with increased fuel consumption. no EML and the op-com isnt showing anything obvious so i spoke to a diesel fitter at work a month or 2 back and he said it will be the vac pipes!!

now for the point in this thread. will the vacum issues cause bad starting, or shall i change the leak offs too??

the leak offs seem ok (no leaks) but they have gone hard with the heat!!
