right guys got the dreaded p242f fault code dpf pressure sensor range performance.
checked all pipes and hoses all ok.
scanned with snap-on modus, dpf saturation was 90% carried out forced regen, cleared codeds reset dpf learned levels took for a very hard drive for 30 miles at 4.5k most of the way car fine checked saturation level 18% but 3 days later its back on, not checked levels again but i will any ideas.
will check sensor out put tomoz should be -2kpa ignition on and about 8-10 kpa when reved i think not checked egr for clogging either

Its usually the plastic pipe that melts where it bends up into the engine bay, double check that, do you also have P1901 Pressure sensor pressure not plausible with barometric pressure.
I have also removed enough of these to know that the face of the cat just in front of the dpf can get coated with soot if the egr is stuck open and can also cause this code.

hi andyl yea will check pipe again the plastic 1 has already been repaired and the rubber 1 straight of the dpf to plastic seems good 2, it does only have 1 pipe to the pressure sensor, but the sensor has 2 connections should the other be blanked off

just an up date, right check piping again all ok miti vacced up fine, blew out that pipe with air line sum crap came out, checked readings still -2 on idle only goes + at 3000 rpm witch is not correct.
then i was told vaux had it in several time and have regened it several times constantly, looked at exhaust it has been off recently new bolts and back box got hammer rash.
removed flexi pipe looked inside dpf and the little precat is holed and the little holes in the dpf seem very clear no sut blocking them, put an ever so slight restriction in exhaust reading come back in correctly so need a dpf thanks for the input guys
