what oil does my 2005/54 plate vectra 2.2i design take,been told 5/40 and 10/40 help thanks rick

Mr Haynes says either : 0/30, 0/40, 5/30 or higher.

My Owner's manual says : 0/30, 0/40, 5/30, 5/40, 10/30 or 10/40.

Take yer choice from that lot !

Go for 0/40. Its better for your engine on cold starts and generally speaking provides better protection when the engine is warm than 0/30.

5w30 is the correct oil and it is a long life oil
