in my corsa 1.4 16v ecotec 1997 there is a black ciruclar black box on the opposite side to the air filter box. I cant see what it is connected to accept a small silver cylinder in front of the engine and behind the radiator i am not sure what it is but it is making a high pitched noise that is really annoying
what is the black box?

Sounds like the air injection valve - basically it helps the cat converter warm up quicker. Is it making a noise all the time, or only until the engine is warmed up?
