Hi guys. I've a 2001 vivaro. It has a strange noise from the driver's side suspension. It's kind of like a washing machine on spin cycle. The noise goes away when I take a left hand turn. And comes straight back after. Bottom arms new. Droplinks new. Trackrod ends new. Can't feel any play in the anti roll bar bushes. But can see a small crack in the engine mount that is attached to the driver's side inner wing ? Any clues ?

It does get louder about 30mph. Then levels off to a discreet drumming sound. It's almost as if you can here the shock going up and down. Can't feel any vibration anywhere. Doesn't seem to be any noise when I jack it up and spin the wheel ?

My money is on wheel bearing.
Will have to have another look. I wonder if the bearing race is collapsed. And that makes the noise go away when that wheel is under tension. Looking at the strut top bearing when I changed them. They had half the balls missing.
