Are you loosing fluid in the reservoir? If not I wouldn't go through the hassle of removing the bell housing just yet.

What methods have you tried so far?

Hi

I Have used the gravity method, just let free flow, not worked
Pumping the pedal, whilst tighten and un tighten, not worked,
back flow, pushing from the bleed valve back through using oil can, not worked
disconnecting the elbow into the contentric slave cylinder, and using ny eazybleed unit, not worked ??

 

Are you getting bubbles?

yes i am getting bubbles, so i am just replacing the joints
that suspectmay be letting air in ???

 

Air is obviously getting in somehow, think your doing everything correctly.. check everything to the clutch slave cylinder.

Hi Finally I managed it !!!!!

i found the thread on another forum somewhere ? what i basically did was disconnect the windscreen washer pump, submerge it a tub with fresh brake fluid in it, run a pipe to the bleed nipple , take the cap off the brake/clutch fluid reservoir, held an old ice cream tub under it to collect the spillage. then pump the fluid back through the system, 5 minute later, a fully functional clutch pedal, worked first time, thanks to the guys responsible for it, worked brill,

 

So you pressurized the system backwards??

I must say that this was the only method that achieved the desired outcome, the clutch manufacturers method did not work, the vehicle manufacturers method did not work!!! surely having to go looking on some owners forum and trying every conceivable method is wrong, ??

 

The old fords use to have this issue I think I remember a friend having the same problem and I think he did the same method as you, I have not done this before that's why I forgot about it.

I think air gets trapped in the slave cylinder under the clutch pedal.

If you want to reverse bleed attach a pipe with 1 way valve from the brake nipple on front nearside caliper to the slave cylinder nipple. Leave both nipple open and pump the pedal. If you don't have a valve you need a second person to open/close one if the nipples and bleed in convensional manner.

 

Now that's a good idea, I'd never have thought of that!

 

Make sure the pipes a tight fit or can't blow off and you can pump the pedal all day without needing to top it up as it all the same fluid/reservoir. Just take it slowly to avoid damaging the clutch cylinders. Simple ideas!
