Recently the interior ventilation fan on my 1998 Astra 1.6 Estate stopped working properly. Speeds 1 and 2 aren't functional but 3 and 4 are. Can anybody suggest why this might be and what part I might need to buy to remedy this, thanks!

A very good chance its the heater resistor as my cavaliers exactly the same,Where this is located on the mk4 astra though i'm not sure.

Its behind the glove box you need to remove the glove box and the vent pipe and remove the heater motor lower half to make it easyer to get to it. Deffently this if the fan switch is operating correctly!
