GLS= Grand Luxury Sedan
CD = Compact disc
CDX = Compact disc extra
Sri = Sports Road injection
GSi = Grand sedan injection

I HAVE NO IDEA SOMEBODY DIG THE RELEVENT THREAD UP BEFORE I MAKE A FOOL OF MYSELF PLEASE THANK YOU

Good question though, but the truth is vauxhall dont especially have a true term for the abbreviations, Chevette HSR abbreviation was never revealed by Vauxhall, ever...

Some of these initials are just some advertising persons idea of what sounds good.

A bit like "go-faster stripes" increasing the acceleration. :bananasmi

I always thought SRi was Sports Refined Interior ?
not sure where it came from though.

the 'i' stands for injection as there used to be SR versions of Cav mk2 and Astra mk2 that had carbs, just like the escort XR3 became XR3i due to ford fitting fuel injection ;)

dont be too hard on them... a cav LS is a damn site more luxurious than a fiat panda.. or even the most basic spec of daewoos and so on.

an LS is a nice comfy car with nice large seats and a good feel to it... so.. not too bad hehe.

i always thought LS stood for "limited spec" though
im not, ive an expression which in a way is an Ls with fancy badges :lmao:
