@ultimate, that's the guide up on the Services page of my website
Cheers only just seen this, that guide looks great I'll give it a go! What grease is that on the gearstick mechanism? Would white grease be ok on the plastics?
When you said mine should have the fill plug (this the one I used on the top of the box that faces up under the battery) do you mean it should have the level plug also?

That's the grease from the factory. Not sure exactly what it will be called.

The Astra H gearstick doesn't remove and then get fitted upside down. The lock mechanism slides down instead of lifting the gearstick up. I forgot they were different when I wrote the guide so it needs updating

Your recommendation #M32guy of Fuchs Titan my friend. Got 3litres waiting in my garage.

# M32Guy What a difference. Just done the oil change and feels great.... Especially changing to 1st 2nd and 3rd. I managed to drain out 2.6 ltr so topped that back up. When I had rebuild last year it had 2.8ltr in so should still be there.

That Sintofluid feels better that the quality 75w90 that was put in on the rebuild.

I'll be doing this every year along with the engine oil change. £27.95 for 3ltrs is a bargain in my views for the way it feels now.

Still no 1st movement or whines (y)

Hello, My Niece has got a 1.9cdti Sri hatch and my Brother tells me it started making a noise in 3rd and it pops out of 3rd gear.
Have seen a place that wants £650 to fix the gearbox and they say it can be done in the vehicle.
He doesn't want to go and buy another second hand box as it might do the same thing 2 months down the line. Any input will be great thanks.

Is there many people on here that pulled off their m32 box and replaced with a different type?

I recently swapped my m32 out for an f23 from a zafira gsi turbo (5speed)

Now its all working properly and no vibrations its proving a good move
