Hi was wondering if anybody could shed sum light.. i bought a astra club 1.6 last week, and its fine on the roads, but soon as i take it on the motorway and go past 70mph the steering wheel starts to shake really bad, the faster i go the worse it gets, ive had it in a garage and they hav'nt been able to find out what it is.. anybody with any ideas or similar experiences?

Lets start with the basics.

Have the wheels been balanced?

As i said its been in the Garage and the wheels have been checked, was just wondering what it cud be, while im waiting for a second opinion..

you would have thought the garage wouldl have found out what it is tbh,

i would go for a buckled wheel tho,

does it get very noisey when it starts to shake? is it just the wheel that shakes or seems like the whole car? worn engine mount maybe if thats the case?
