Hi, on my 99 V6 both newish front tyres are toeing out so are baling on the outside edges.

While having a front wheel bearing done a couple of months ago they (local Vx) said:

- "excessive play in front steering arms £750"
- "Play found in lower ball joint o/s £100"

So some nice bargains there. I'm unclear what they mean by the steering arms - he said you have to drop lots down to get to them hence the cost and that its a 'common V6 issue'. I don't remember seeing this mentioned here often.

I can probably get to a ramp and could attempt myself - is this a big job? What are the steering arms - do they mean the rack?
