Hi,

I've got an Opel Astra (2003 model) with a VDO CDR 500 and I was wondering if anybody knew if there were any other radios/mp3 players that can replace it and still hook up to the steering wheel.

Ideally I'd like it to have an aux input.

Thanks

Most aftermarket headunits have leads available (to buy aswell as the headunit) to still make the steering controls and the display still to work.

I never got around to replacing my radio and am looking into it again.

One thing I thought I might be able to do is replace the VDO CDR 500 with a VDO DAYTON unit. Does anybody know if this is feasible? Does it use the same interface as the CDR 500? I've asked the VDO DAYTON customer support but they don't seem very responsive...

I'm mostly interested in still having my dash display and steering wheel control while upgrading to something with a front-loading CD, Aux-In and possibly USB.
