I have a 2005 Astra 1.8 Sri and I cant get the service light to go out. The old one 1(03 astra) I had used to go off no problem with a simple push of the reset button and turn on ignition etc. This one is proving a bit more complex!!! My friend has a 04 Astra(H, new shape as well) and we got the service light off no probs. Any ideas???? Thanx in advance!

How long were you holding down the trip reset button for?
Before or after turning the ignition on?

To reset InSP on Vauxhall:
Ignition Off
Hold Trip Reset In
Turn on Ignition
Still Holding Trip Reset wait for three dashes (might well be four depending on age of vehicle)
Release trip Reset.
Turn off Ignition
Turn on Ignition
I inadvertantly know someone who's just done the above on a 2005 Astra with success.
