converting from 4stud to 5 stud

well thinking of converting my mk4 astra from 4 stud to 5 stud was wanting every1's advice on it .
will it be a good idea or not

YES: if you can source the parts from somewhere cheapish and you or someone you know can fit them cheapish

NO: if you can only get the bits from a dealer etc and you have to pay ful price to a mechanic to do it,

and also if you do decide to do it, fit 308mm discs from a GSi/SRi-T etc. wont cost alot extra but you will notice it,

tbh if (as you other thread said) you only really want to do this as you bought 5 stud wheels by accident then imo just buy 4 stud wheels instead.

I'd say it would depend on your reasons for doing it, if it's just for the sake of having an extra bolt on each wheel then no.

It depends on how much it would cost to have it done. It would give you access to a much bigger variety of alloys, but if it's gonna be a serious amount of money and work it's just not worth it IMO. Save the money for a bigger engined, 5 stud Astra?
