Sy's GSi - UPDATED

well, finally managed to clean her up and give her a polish (in between the rain!)

Other than a new rear arch, some paint and a new headlining, it doesn't actually need much work.

Underneath is sound, and the engine is sweet, no tapping at all on start up (163,000 on the clock with receipts for everything that has ever been done).

The only mods so far are:

lowered (don't know how much though)
Janspeed exhaust
Irmscher power cap
Jetex(?) panel filter

and in the week i've had it, i've done:
bonnet lifters
alloy door pins
Got a set of 15" multispokes to fit once I swap the tyres over

Future plans are:

headlining
delocked with vectra handles
Full respray and new rear arch
Turbo leather
black dash
possibly a 5 stud conversion
eventually a set of 17s
boot spoiler (not sure which one yet though)

Will update this thread as I get more done

More pics further down

Get in the que mate :shame: I'd love Turbo leather but I will only buy it if it is MINT (or near as can be) and dont come up to often but when it does bloody hell, I only bought my car for £175! :lmao:

Its come up nicely with a wash and polish anyway mate, starting to see more burgandy (sp?) GSis being looked after on here now :)

How many garages do you want?! :lmao:

Looking tidy, when you get those jobs done it'll be looking good, I think the majority of half decent red GSI's now belong to members on here :Cool2:

unfortunately I don't get to use any of the three garages! Mum and Dad have one each, and the other (which was mine till I bought a Carlton GSi and it wouldn't fit!) is now full of boxes of random stuff, plus a couple of cav interiors!

I don't mind buying a non-mint turbo interior, or the other option is to retrim the GSi seats.

Now that it's clean and polished, I do really like the colour. It will be resprayed the same, as i don't want to have to mess about doing the engine bay etc as well.

Smart mate...id leave the standard wheel's on TBH...aftermarket 15's look way too small on Cav's, especially GSi's.
Agreed stick with standard wheels till you can afford 17's as it would just look silly.

had a look through the vast amount of history that I got with it the other day. It's had thousands spent on it in the last ten years! Chassis legs have been done, along with a few other bits. Definately has a Coscast head too. Just trying to decide what wheels to put on it.

It's far from finished yet! Still need to get the paint done, but I'm waiting for better weather, and it needs lowering at the back, as the rear springs are standard.

Like the VxON stickers! I gotta get me some of them.
there's a VxON club sticker in the rear window, but it doesn't show up very well!

the url sticker stands out on the boot though!
