Which basically allows you to split the caliper in two. Half the caliper remains on the hub, the other half detaches and you can put somewhere on the floor, and there is enough room then to remove the pads and discs.you will need the allen key though.
But they do need removing to change my disksthe star head bolts dont need removing to change the pads< you will need the allen key though.
Really? The calipers must be of a different design to that of the Astra's and Vectra's then as you can leave part of the caliper in place to change the discs.But they do need removing to change my disks![]()
You didn't originally say you wanted to remove the discs as I think everyone presumed you meant the pads.Nope, the disc won't come off without removing that carrier - Not enough room (About 1/2 cm not enough!).
Anyways, the torx sockets that Halfords have on the rail are too small only goes to E16 and it looks like I need something slightly bigger (E18 maybe 20).
