This is my first post but I actively read the forum.

I have noticed a sudden problem with the speedometer on my 2007 Corsa D 1.4 Auto.

After starting the car and driving at 20 mph the speedometer needle started to jump from 20 all the way up to 100 mph, even though I was only doing 20 mph. It remained like this after switching off the engine. I called a mechanic out and the engineer pulled out the 10 amp speedometer fuse for a few minutes and the dials and clock reset themselves, problem solved.

The same issue started to happen again with the speedo displaying the incorrect starting point. I reset it a few times via the fuse, but now this doesn't work. The needle shows over 100mph as the starting point and sometime exceeds 120mph when driving making it difficult to read the miles

Does anyone know what else could be the issue?

Either a software issue or a faulty IPC , there are companies that can repair these faults.
