I tried to search in previous threads on engine oil but could not find straight answers. So, is it wise to put Shell Helix Ultra 5W40 engine oil in my Vectra 1998 2.0 DTI 110,000mls on clock? Or should I stay with the Castrol GTX Magnatec 10W40?
The benefits as I see it is next change would be after 6,000-9,000mls, also winter is coming - I was told 5w40 is better for cold mornings, lower consumption (?), etc
Cost is not an issue, the price difference is slight IMO.
From the threads I read most people say 10W40 is recommended (?)...
Opinions? Experiences? Thanks :bust:

(My appologies, I already posted this on another vx forum, but wanted more opinions, thanks)
