hi all i have a calibra 16v and the cat is all broken up and leakin which is makin the engine managment light come on..

i have a lamba sensor so can i put a decat pipe on it and bypass the lamba or do i have to keep with a cat???

any info would be great

Lambda sensor is before the cat, so can stay.
Anything the cat does won't affect the sensor.

Like CallyT says, that nothing the CAT does affects any sensors...you have a sensor fault.

and you say you have a Cally 16v, and then ten say 'the cav is a J reg redtop'...what you got, Cav or Cally?

lol sorry calibra red top....

i was told the lamba sensor was gone due to the cat being nackered which it is it rattles like no tomorrow and has a hole so def going to put a decat pipe on...

so i guess i got to put a new lamba sensor on then
