Hi all.
I've got a query regarding the purge valve on my 1998 1.8 Vectra. I have got a fault code of 'P0443 Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit Malfunction' showing. I have replaced the valve, and checked for blockages but the fault remains. I will be looking at the charcoal canister sometime today and wondered if any of you guys, (and gals?), could offer any advice on other things to look at.

Thanks
Daz.

help needed

ibought anx plate vecy 1.8 16v ls today. when i got home i noticed a hissing/ or like a kettle boiling noise coming from behind the drivers front wheel. i dont know much bout cars but ive done a bit of research on the net 2nite. the purge valve has only 1 pipe on it which is snapped and it has been chewed by the cambelt at some point by the looks of things.is the hissing noise the charcoal canister? if so is it because it has no pipe connected to it? the car also isnt idleing right very slight flucuation at idleing but seems fine when driving it.
