Took the Omega for it's yearly service and MOT today, after have a pair of front discs and pads fitted (£215 fitted) they tell me that I'll need to get one of the steering ball joints replaced soon as the is some 'play' in it, not enough to fail but needs replacing never the less.
I have noticed that if I let the steering wheel spin back on its own to neutral from a right turn it sort of stops twice on its return (anti-clockwise) and only once on return from a left turn (clockwise). Is this all connected? Other than that, the steering is smooth, fairly precise and reasonably light.
Is this a big job and does this sound right? :dunno
