I managed to sort the handbrake problem and got the car through its test with just a couple of advisory , the one being front discs showing slight wear , so easy enough to sort, but its the other one that bothers me, it says on the sheet osr upper trailing arm pin showing slight wear, would that be those big buggers that are a ***** to change?, never got chance to speak to the tester

sounds like a rose bush,i thought they fail mot if they are gone though,if you jack the car up and grab the wheel at 6 and 12 o clock you should be able to see which one is moving if any,theres normally a knocking noise while driving if they are knackered.
if you can't rock the wheel and see behind the wheel, get someone to rock it for you and look yourself just to make sure.
