Hi,hoping someone has had experience with a intermittent non start problem. It only does it after a first short journey when the car has been sat overnight or at work for 10 hours. If you do a longer trip it restarts fine.Itcranks over till it try's to start & starter disengages or it sometimes it starts at 500-600rpm rough idle with smoke but no throttle response what so ever.
It drives perfect until you park up,switch it off & wont restart.Leave it 20 mins or so & it starts fine again.
I've had the ecu tested at ecu testing for water damage, they tested it twice to be sure as there was water ingress & tested ok.I stripped off the egr & bench tested it all working fine.Disconnected the egr actuator whilst it was closed & starting fine to rule out mechanical valve sticking but next morning after short trip to work it was non start. The live data engine rpm on cranking was unstable so tried a crank sensor but still non start after first short trip this morning.
Only code trips is P0069 Map Barometric pressure correlation.Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Barometric pressure sensor is built into the swimmy swimmy ecu, if they blocked the de-aeration plastic you know now why the fault code. Water in ecu means 99.99% its junk.
