U ever get the feeling it's just not meant to be easy, life that is! :shame:

Seems that for every good bit of news I get, something else fecks up and ruins it...

Had two bits of good news today...
  1. Insurance company have finally got in contact with the women that ripped my rear bumper off and she is insured apparently.
  2. went to have a look at the bumper in the bodyshop today and was very impressed with the way they've stopped it flexing
And now... The bad news...

Parked up to go in the council offices for some paperwork etc

And snap!!!

Thought I'd pulled the handbrake lever clean out the floor for a minute, turns out the ruddy cable decided to snap!

got it off, upto the locval motor factors and £15 later arrive back home to get it fitted... Now I can't get the Nut adjuster undone and it fecked, so a trip to Vx dealer tomorrow for a new part - Number 9 - £2.?? inc vat.

oh, and the tank looks a little worse for wear too!

Thankfully it's rented so more a pain having to find somewhere else than anything! :shame:

Hence the trip to the council offices...

Could be worse Pete but would have been better if it'd had the decency not to snap! Are you having a GSi bumper done for the rear?

I reckon £68 for a new tank from these guys http://www.buypartsby.co.uk/
One of the cheapest I've found is on eBay... £58 plus delivery iirc...

Actually that link is cheap! https://sslrelay.com/buypartsby.co.uk/fuel-tank-details.php?recordID=219

It would have been very decent, but still.

Yes mate, GSi bumper I was doing myself is being done by the bodyshop as we speak. :Cool2:

  2. remove it
  3. refit new one... eventually! :lmao:
