Hi Can anyone give me a clue as to what is happening.

Just changed the engine due to the old one blowing up. Everything seems to be working fine apart from the oil light only goes out at high rev's. I obviously don't want this engine to blow up, Has anyone got any ideas as to what could be causing this?

There is enough oil in the engine.

could be a dodgy sender,or even an oilfilter, how sure are you the sump oil pick up pipe is not blocked, you need it in a garage and get the oil pressure checked,or its onto engine number 3

Sorted it...

I only went and bought an engine flush, new oil filter, and some 10w 40.

Flushed the engine. Emptied the oil. Cleaned the strainer in the rocker cover. Cleaned the sump and pick up pipe. Re filled with 10w40 and the light has gone out.

Wicked.

Thx everyone
