Noticed optimax was dissapearing a while back, and was meant to be replaced with some 99/100 ron octane, guaranteed strength this time.
Is this out yet? Tried Shell's website, not very helpful to say the least.

Can't find any. Their site said could get optimax up the road from me - garage shut months ago! :bust:
Just remember it said on mig, as so many didn't like the fact it wasn't guaranteed to be more than 95 ron.
Been using tesco 99 ron, as the M's mapped for 98. Doesn't really affect me, not having high boosting turbo anymore to really benefit from it. But I've never liked supermarket fuel, so would like to return to quality, but with the ron if possible.
Will get searching again :Cool2:

Actually, was up Surrey way getting diesel. Matey behind the counter said it was already at the pumps. Although his English was questionable, and probably answered in the easiest way possible

Tho you DO have to adjust the timing of the engine to get any REAL power gains off the stuff (as P Ford Mag done), I use the stuff all the time on the GSI as it seems to make it run smoother?
