I got a huge fright, the price from the dealer for a blank key with remote, £125 +165 to encode.... Meriva A 2005 1,6 16V xe1. Any suggestions?

Buy a flip key housing £5.
Buy a blade cut to your key code £10.
Buy a good OpCom from me to program your new key.
Buy a transponder chip for your key £5.

Comes to a hell of a lot less.

Which is what I did when I bought my Meriva A because I didn't like the straight key poking holes in my pocket.

As said by koicarpkeeper I bought one from him to program a spare key got a blank with flip and transponder £9.00 key blade cut with code or photo £10 then just swapped blade just a pin to punch out with a panel pin blunted then done my neighbor's car as well 2 for roughly £120 and can do loads more if needed for £20 .well worth it plus the OpCom is top quality if you want to read codes etc .

the flip key housing doesnt include the alarm remote...

and yes im interested in the offer you made, whats the next step?
