Hi,my neighbour is selling his Vauxhall Viceroy.Been off the road for 2 years,up until that point he was using it for a wedding car. It's a 2.5 carburetted, manual model.Genuine 79,000 miles, black with velour interior.Needs work on rear outer arches, rear outer valance.Runs and starts perfectly.Anyone know what it's worth?Or give him a rough guide what to ask for?Car is situated in Fife in Scotland, cheers,Lee.

Hello,

They only made 2200 viceroys I believe, the body was used, albeit in strenghtened form, in the original (VC I think) Holden Commodore. Because of the cars rarity value, I'd personally ask this question over at the Autobahnstormers site, www.autobahnstormers.co.uk . They may even have someone interested in taking it on, other places to try, Practical Classics Magazine, usually always after an interesting project :).

I was offered a Viceroy 2.5 with a bad case of rust as my first car, for £15..heh. Couldn't though - manual box.

Was tempting though, because the thing fair shifted!
