When looking in manual i noticed that the filler cap servo for central locking was the easiest to get at when i looked on motor it is not there could this be why the rest is not working

Can you describe the full symptoms please.

Only drivers door works with remote or key,I have found that the filler cap servo is missing could this be the reason for the rest of the central locking not working

I know this is a pain in the backside suggestion but have you checked the other doors to confirm they have the servo's in as you say the petrol filler cap servo is missing. Another thing I could suggest is checking to make sure all the servo linkage arms are connected to the locks in the doors.

Having a missing servo as far as I know should not knock the central locking out, a mate of mine the petrol filler servo is dead but the rest of the central locking works.
