Hi,

Does anyone know how to change the bog standard cd player CDR 500 i think! you get with a 2003 astra, i am looking to replace this with a new unit which is capable of receiving digital radio broadcasts (DAB ) and mp3 . how easy is it to swap?, and are there any facia plates required to fill the gaps etc? , and can anyone recommend what type to buy ?

Four grub screws to remove then just the standard DIN fitting removal keys. No facia plates required.

Pull the unit out
Remove the bolt/screw from the back of the cage
Remove cage
Unclip ISO connectors and aerial connector

To fit the new stereo you may require an aerial adaptor, but some H/Us come with one.

I fitted a screen mount DAB aerial for my Sony unit and it has been brilliant.

Unfortunately the unit is not for sale as i am fitting it into the wifes car .
