We have a 61 reg vauxhall meriva 1.7 cdti and on Friday the power steering failed. We've today had a diagnostic on it our local vauxhall garage to be told the power steering pump control module is broke. They've quoted £1692 to repair it. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem only with a 6 year old car that's only done 60000 miles it's not an expensive repair we were expecting and surely it's a part that should last longer than this.
