Hi there. I have a zafira 1.7 cdti 2011. I'm assuming I have the dreaded m32 box...when idling i have a noise like a steady hiss then when depressing the clutch...silence...gears change fine and there is no other noise. It's done 105000 miles. Any info appreciated. I've been told your the expert. Many thanks in advance.

If that's the only issue then I wouldn't worry about it too much, these boxes are allowed to have a bit of bearing noise. It's most likely the input shaft bearing but could also be the bearing on the slave cylinder. Would you say it comes to a slow and steady stop after you press the clutch or is it an instant stop?

Hi looking for a little advice/opinions I have my gearbox out and prepping my new box (provided by m32guy himself) and just wondering if people replace the clutch elbow with the bleed nipple that connects to the csc or if it's perfectly serviceable to reuse on the new box and csc.

On a side note i can't recommend and thank him enough for the help with supplying my new gearbox.

It's an instant stop. As soon as you press the clutch. I'm thinking it's not major as the car drives beautifully but it is a worry. Would an additive help or a fluid change? Thanks for info by the way

Hi Matt, thank you for your kind words. I'm glad your happy with our service. The connector elbow is perfectly serviceable so shouldn't need replacing. Just be careful with the seal from the slave cylinder itself. It usually gets stuck in there. Best to take it out and pop it back on the slave cylinder pipe. If replacing the slave cylinder it will come with a new seal so you end up with two which will obviously give you problems.

It's most likely the slave cylinder bearing in that case then and not the gearbox. Even if I'd suspect a gearbox issue I wouldn't advise on any additives. An oil change is always a good idea however

I’ve got a 2010 Astra J 1.4T 6-speed with M32 (a14net engine). Does anyone know if I can do a straight swap for an M32 out of an 2016 Astra K 1.4T? I believe the engine is not quite the same, at least, but the ‘box looks the same in pictures.

I would think they are the same however I've yet to have any K's in so don't know the ratios first hand. Can't see them being different
Ok, thanks. I’m assuming different versions of the 1.4T aren’t that different, so presumably ratios are same. All assumption, though.

Hi All,

Anyone here offering zafira b z19dth gearbox swap? I have another box, so just needs swapping. Could do it myself but don't have a space where to park the car. Don't mind helping.
Thank you!

Ha ha, yeah definitely good travel distance. As these box specialist, if could you share how to check actual bearings? The one I will be fitting on has some orange marks around screws which makes me think that box has been in for rebuild. I just want to take cover off and have a look at bearings. Thanks

That's not one of ours. Looks like paint a scrapyard will put on in case you want to send it back.

We save customer details for every gearbox we do but not everyone brings their car to us as we also do a drop off and courier service. In those cases we don't require/save a registration

Hi Mate,
I popped off a back cover for the box and to me it looks kind of solid. Didn't have any metal pieces or any other sh.. Only this magnet thing was a little bit with metal.
Bearings looks fine to me.
Is there anything else I should check while the cover is off the box?

I took some photos, what do you think?
