Hi I know this is a repost of so many times and a lot of ppl must be getting fed up with it but iam at my wits end with this so here goes 1.9ltr diesel cdti Zafira 104.000 miles car gone in to limp mode or the engine just cuts out will restart straight away but have had it in to a diesel specialiest who tested the pressure which was same before and after limp mode I had new rail sensor fitted new fuel filter and the fuel solinoed fitted on pump hasn't made any difference so last resort took it to vaxuhall for diagnostic after they had it for 4days all they said was they found fault code p0001-75 low fuel rail pressure and p0380-08 glow device general error said they reset but emotionally light is on won't go out and wanted to start all over again to do what diesel specialist had done told them to forget it not paying to have them do it all again so I'm stuck if anyone can play help thanks

The crankshaft position sensor maybe at fault. I had an Astra estate 1.7 cdti and that would drive fine and then cut out but would restart straight away for a while but it got worse and took it to my mate Ollie that said even before putting diagnostics on it that it was the CPS. This got changed ( I think it cost £70 inc fitting) and had no more problems.

Hi I had exactly the same problem with our 03 plate voyager we put some supermarket diesel in was fine at quarter throttle but floor it and it would cut out, ignition off and restart it was fine I had to limp it around for 400+ miles until tank was proper empty then filled up with shell diesel changed filter then 200 miles changed filter again then after 1 month changed filter again, if it is cutting out under load ( while driving) it is lack of fuel
So filter is first step then injector test and fuel pump pressure test ( could also be air in fuel system)

Have you got any diag equipment yourself I brought an older snap on unit mt2500 looks like a big red brick from eBay it reads live data etc unit stands me in at around £85.00 after buying all keys and can bus lead you need a good software cartridge for it to I was lucky and got 9.4 software with it can do 90% of cars upto 2009 then eobd upto present day this is just generic stuff it’s handy to scan fault codes and clear when repairs are done, if you fiddle with cars (weekend mechanics) then we’ll worth investing in something like this as garages will charge £40.00 upwards to scan your car

Think you need to leave the car with a dedicated technician who reads live data for a living for a few days, someone somewhere will pick on on something from live data

I have I left the car with a diesel specialist who had the car for a week they tested everything and did live runs in car and they could not find what was cursing the problem then took to Vauxhall who just wanted to run the same test's which I was not going to pay another £400 +to do same thing

You need a new pair of eyes to have a look, not like the chap done something wrong just did not noticed something... might turn simpler then you think... from reading all this i wonder if concetrating on diesel pressure is a mistake... this is a 1.9... so is a in tank pump, was that monitorised? Wiring maybe?

Just fixed low fuel pressure problem in my z19dth 09 astra.

Exact same symptoms,, same things changed as you.. I don't know what the non return valve is called because I'm a bricky. go darkside at night and weekends

Fuel connection above the hp pump that Tees off to the hp pump and the return from top of injectors.. From what I've learnt here is that it's a non return valve for the injectors, which in my case has failed and this came from a scrap yard so probably why the car was scrapped..
Caused codes rail pressure low and limp mode. Blocked the pipe and routed injector returns to a bottle and it drives 100%.

Take off tee at injectors and turn on key. If diesel flows out heading for injectors then the valve is fooked

I automatically blocked the pipe that the fuel shouldn't be coming out of when I first did my injector leak down test so I didn't know the non return valve was bad until I had a think about it and tried it with the pipes back on so. I changed exactly everything you did and no good so highly likely they blocked the pipe and didn't notice the non return valve either in the vauxhall main dealers and charged you 400 +++ for nothing.
