Anyone have a tip on how to stop leaf detritus from collecting under the plastic grid, the top shock mount(left front/nearside Meriva A 2004 XE1) and wiring harness is covered with leaves and what is fast turning to mud and I think that the previous owners mechanic did a kack job and I found the cabin filter cover left loose, any suggestions on what I can do to stop this build up of detritus?

Park in the middle of a very large open space!

Mine was the same when I got it, had half a bucket of rotting leaf matter out from around the large wiring loom in that area. Can't see you can do a lot to prevent it other than lifting the loom away from the body to let it wash away.

I'm a bit concerned about using any steam cleaning or water pressure in the area.... As I don't know where the drain is... And yes I already park it in the open and like you inherited the detritus....

Don't worry about the drains, there are 2, one each side and quite large. There are photos on here in an old thread of mine.
