Ok - son has got the moneypit (test in 3 weeks time) and want to get some jump leads as car has not been started in weeks ( well nearly months !!) and he will most likley leave the lights on etc, we all been there :Cool2:

What amp rating would you suggest for a set of Jump Leads

Just buy the best heavy duty ones you can afford...then no matter what future (or mates) car needs jumped it's covered.

A cracking set can be had for £25-£30 from a motor factor that'll do a 5000cc engine.

As said above you cam get a preety good set from a Motor Factors that will start most Vehicles...

Personally I would not try to jump a modern car using jump leads — there is a strong possibility you could fry the electronics on the car! I have seen 2 vehicles rendered wright off's due to jump leads.

A booster pack in the way to go IMO!
