Hello everyone.

I have been thinking about mounting a intercooler on my 2.0di.
A friend has one from a 1.7TD, so i can buy cheap.

So my question is woud i get any power increase from that ? or would it be hopeless ?

Has anyone else done this ?
Is there other things i can do to increase power without high expences ?

Thanks in advance

Wouldn't have thought much at all. Not dealt with diesel turbos though.
If you started tweaking the boost up it would help more.
It all helps, and sure someone will have a much better idea than me

Well well... perhaps someone here has done it before... :)
I am going for chiptuning, but not yet, so perhaps i will give it some more boost since the intercooler will take some pressure..

All the intercooler does is to remove the heat caused when the the air is compressed by the turbo .As the di is a low pressure turbo it doesnt compress the air enough to produce enough heat to make a intercooler worthwhile

Thanks for the answer, but after a chip modification, would not the pressure off the turbo increase ?
I have also seen that i can change the pressure on the turbo by doing a small modification, would that increase the pressure enough to make a ic worthwhile then ?
