I have 2016 insignia, I have been to several mechanics and no one has found the problem. The fault code appears on different scanners is P2598- Turbocharger Boost control Position Sensor “A” performance Low. I have already change the turbo and solenoid but still the same fault code. Check all the pipes but no luck. Could someone help me with this Please.

Hi,
After long time at last find the problem link with fault code P2598. This code will appear and car will go to limp mode. If any one have Vauxhall and the above code appear it’s all to do with the vacuum pump. In my Vauxhall Insignia the pump located in the oil sump as Vauxhall combine oil and vacuum pump to single part. The part cost round about £290. Hope this will help other with similar problem.

I have problem with same fault code P2598 on my astra j 1.6 cdti, I repeared turbo and installed new solenoid valve. check engine light appears occasionaly and car goes in limp mode. if i turn off and on again, car is not in limp mode anymore, however goes in limp mode sometimes in 10 km and sometimes in 500 km.

My garage advising me to change the whole turbo charger? They reckon it’s a Vane sensor on turbo?… but same trouble code p2598
I assume you got rid of the car
